In the United States there’s been a total of 13.4 million cases and 267,000 deaths and cases are still increasing. The top 5 states most affected are Texas, California, Florida, Illinois, and New York. Ultimately, Coronavirus was one of the top issues during the presidential elections. Basically the American people wanted a solution.
Main Points of Joe Biden’s Plan:
- To end political theater and provide accurate information
- Public health decisions will be made by health professionals instead of politicians
- Reestablish the White House National Security Council Directorate for Global Health Security and Biodefense
- To ensure testing is available and free
- To release a daily public White House Report which provides the accurate number of tests that have been done
- To expand the Staffing for the Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant Program
- To expand CDC surveillance programs
- To provide federal assistance to families badly affected by the virus
- To collaborate with businesses and increase the production of personal protective equipment
- To provide emergency paid sick leave
- To accelerate the development of treatments and vaccines
